A Poem for the Pandemic

The old world dies, the new waits. . .
All the Poets have gone quiet.
They’re hushed. Listening

as the old ghosts gather.

How they shiver. . . do you hear their dark chants fade? They empty
mind from mind.

Do you hear their Silence?

All the Poets have gone quiet. And in this new-arrived hush no dreams, no words
yet re-kindle from their hidden inner flame
none yet speak out
their
potent re-newing,
their re-visioned
words.

They
are not yet ready for re-marking
the way,
for re-minding, no
golden waves yet flow.

. . .they wait. Listening. . .for the ring-clear voice of Uriel
for the hummm of the youngest bee. . .
they wait for the flight of hummingbird,
will they see her once again dance atop fields of flowers?
will anemone continue to blow, her petals lifted
her beauty carried forth by the caress of wind?
will water flow again, up from the deepest earth?

Will fire-of-word bring us toward our better, cleansed path?

Archangel Uriel, “God is my light” His feast is the 29th of September. He provides a direct link to the realm of spirit. He guides mental energy and gives inspiration and motivation. Illumination. The angel of wisdom. Very high energy frequency. He helps humanity to reach the highest level of illumination. He carries a book, a flaming sword, and a disc of stars or a flaming orb. He is the guide of the arts, writers, and science. He holds the book of words that I write. His message today. . .
