Stress Relieving Roll-on Tonic

Stress Relieving Roll-on Tonic by Darlene Witte

There are times you need a little relief from stress.

When you’re on a long flight, working long hours or studying for an exam keep a small roller bottle of stress relieving tonic handy. When you feel the need for a pick-me-up take a few moments to stoke a little onto your pulse points (temples, back of neck, wrists, throat, ear lobes, back of knees). Close your eyes and inhale with a few cleansing breaths. Take a 5-minute walk before resuming work. Movement helps the body-mind to process stress.

Combine:
Lavender or rose tincture, 1 cup
Essential Oils (6 drops each)
Rosemary
Peppermint
Black Pepper

Dispense into small roller applicator bottles. (Makes enough mixture to fill 4 bottles – 2 oz each or 8 bottles – 1 oz each.) For use on an air-line you’ll want to use bottles that follow their guidelines regarding size and contents.

Use: When you’re feeling stressed or tired apply lightly to pulse points such as temples, throat, wrists and to back of neck. Close eyes, breathe, allow yourself to relax.

Safety note: Whenever you make a product to apply to the skin do a simple allergy test, a “skin test” before use. Apply a small amount on a small area on the inside of your wrist and wait 24 hours. If a rash, redness or itchiness results at any time in the 24 hours do not use it any further. Doing a skin test is important for anything you make for yourself, but its even more important for anything you share with another person. Also, be aware that essential oils are better tolerated by adults than children. The recipes you’ll find on my website are all meant for adult use. Significant adjustments have to be made for use with children.

Note: My recipes are based on my own research, experience, intuitive guidance and feedback from friends who’ve used my mixtures. Why can’t you order from me? I never sell anything I make. For me it is not appropriate. It is important for you to check your own intentions before you begin to experiment.
